Tiger Rhinos Tour

Tour Duration: 12 Nights / 13 Days
Itinerary:Delhi (1N) –  Kanha (3N) – Bandhavgarh (3N) – Delhi (1N) - Kaziranga(3N) - Delhi (1N)
Tour Theme: Covers tour to Jungle Safaris, Elephant rides in Central India best tiger reserves & only home of one-horned Indian Rhinos at North-East of India.

DAY-01:
Wildlife Tourism India On arrival at Delhi, our representative will assist you on transfer to hotel. On reaching hotel, he will brief you tour program, hand-over all important travel voucher/s & documents required during tour. We will utilize the day by visiting Old Delhi also known by the name of Shahjahanabad. Here we will visit Red fort (UNESCO World Heritage Site), Jama Masjid, Rajghat. We will also do local visit of Chandni chowk using rickshaw and try to understand the reason behind co-existence of religious places of different religions in same region and analyze the communal harmony in the region. Later in the afternoon, we will drive to railway station to board train for Katni Railway Station to visit Bandhavgarh.

DAY-02: Katni – Bandhavgarh (100kms/02:30hrs)
If train will reach Katni railway station on time, we will be their on early morning. At the railway station, we will be assisted on arrival. From Katni to Bandhavgarh, we will drive by car. Katni is a District of Madhya Pradesh State in Central India. It is a railway junction with good connectivity with majority all prominent tourist destinations like Varanasi, Jaipur, Agra, Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata etc. Drive from Katni to Bandhavgarh passes through small villages and towns. As delays in train is common in India, so we will include any game drive in this day. We will utilize the day in bird watching at resort campus, gathering information about Bandhavgarh tiger reserve, do all necessary preparations for next day safari.

DAY-03: Bandhavgarh National Park
Take morning & evening game drives. In between these game drives, take additional safari for Bandhavgarh fort. It is different from game drives in which safari jeep goes to hill-top where historical monuments can be seen along with overview of Bandhavgarh forest. It is special as it offers drive to hill top, special point for bird watching, trace to history. Bandhavgarh fort is located inside Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve.
Bandhavgarh: Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve is located in Umaria district of Madhya Pradesh State in Central India. It known for highest tiger density in the world. Before being declared as National Park in 1968, Bandhavgarh was private hunting preserve of Royal family of Rewa (Baghel kings). Its main attractions are tiger sighting and Bandhavgarh-fort on hill top. Wildlife attractions of Bandhavgarh are: tiger, spotted deer, leopards, sambhar, wild boar, sloth bear etc. In past, many white tigers were also found in forest of Bandhavgarh. Bird sighting from hill-top during fort visit is another attraction as we have chance to do bird watching of flying birds and do photography. Some of the Birds encountered during game drives are: Greater Racket Tailed Drange, Malabar Pied Hornbill, Grey Hornbill, Asian Paradise Fly-catcher, Grey-headed Fishing Eagle, Jungle Babbler, Indian Roller, Spotted Dove, Red-wattled Lapwing etc. Bandhavgarh fort visit is a special visit in which we can see ancient Bandhavdheesh temple, man-made ponds, Bandhavgarh fort, Treasury building, statues, ancient caves, bird photography point etc., all on the top of the hill.

DAY-04: Bandhavgarh National Park
We will continue our wildlife expeditions of Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve. Winters (Dec-Feb) are good for Bird watching in Central India as we may have chance to do bird watching of migratory birds. In case our visiting season is end of winters (Feb-March) or beginning of summers (March-April), we can have good wildlife photography & sighting as during this time visibility improves due to dryness in bushes & grasslands. We will also visit Bandhavgarh fort in between morning & evening park safari.

DAY-05: Bandhavgarh - Kanha (255kms/06:00hrs)
Take morning game drive as last one in Bandhavgarh. Later drive to Kanha national park. In this drive we will pass through tribal villages of Mandla district, some rocky dry lands, reserve forest area, fields etc. We may have chance to do enroute visit to Ghughuwa Fossil Park, show-casing 6.5 million years old plant fossils of Gondwanaland era.

DAY-06: Kanha National Park
Take morning & evening game drive of Kanha Tiger Reserve to visualize the real wilderness of forest. Kanha national park is one of the most tourist friendly national park providing shelter to some rarely seen wildlife species like world famous Hard-ground Barasingha (Swamp Deer), Tigers, leopards, Indian gaur (Bison), Wild dog (Dhole or Sonha Kutta), mouse deer etc. Kanha wildlife sanctuary also nestles 300 rarely seen bird species like crested serpent eagle, White-breasted Kingfisher, Golden Oriole, Malabar pied hornbill, Red headed vultures etc.

DAY-07: Kanha National Park
We will continue the birding & tiger expedition tour of Kanha Park India. We will take both the game drives of the day in search of birds & mammals.

DAY-08: Kanha - Jabalpur - Delhi
Take morning drive of Kanha Tiger Reserve and conclude our stay in Kanha. Later after having lunch, we will drive to North-West of Kanha for Jabalpur Railway Station to board overnight train for Delhi.

DAY-09: Delhi - (By Flight) - Guwahati - (220km/05:00hrs) - Kaziranga
On reaching Delhi, we will have breakfast in hotel and drive to Delhi airport to board flight for Guwahati. On reaching Guwahati, we will drive to Kaziranga. Guwahati is a capital of Assam state in East India. Way to Kaziranga is full of natural sceneries and offers glimpse of rural life-style of Assam.

DAY-10: Kaziranga National Park
We will begin our day with elephant safari in grasslands of Kaziranga. Morning elephant safari is of two hours (5-7AM) and later we will take game drives (morning & evening) on safari jeeps.
Kaziranga National Park is located in Assam state of India which lies in North-East of India. It spread over Golaghat and Nagaon Districts of Assam. It is known worldwide for having two-third of total population of rare one Horned India Rhinoceros. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is a breeding ground of elephants, Asiatic Wild water buffalo, Eastern Swamp Deer, Gaur, Sambhar, Tigers, Leopards, Wild Boar, Muntjac, Hog Deer, Indian Pangolins, Hog Badger, Chinese Ferret, Flying Squirrels, Assamese Macaque, Golden Langur, Hoolock Gibbon etc. Birding & reptiles sighting is also great in Kaziranga National Park. Commonly seen birds here are Black-breasted Parrotbill, Spot-billed Pelican, Slender-billed Vulture, Eastern Imperial, Pallas’s Fish Eagle, Wreathed Hornbill etc. Two largest snakes in the World : Reticulated Python and Rock Python can be seen here. Longest venomous snake in the world, the King Cobra is available in Kaziranga. Best time to visit is from November to April. In monsoon, park remains closed for visitors.

DAY-11: Kaziranga National Park
Today, we will continue to explore wildlife treasures of Kaziranga Tiger Reserve. It is counted among such National Parks where varieties of wildlife attractions are available in single wildlife sanctuary.

DAY-12: Kaziranga - (220kms/-5:00hrs) - Guwahati - (By Flight) - Delhi
On early morning, after having breakfast we will drive to Guwahati Airport to board flight for Delhi. On reaching Delhi, we will move to hotel to freshen up. Rest of the day will be at leisure. We may explore do shopping in Delhi or can explore Sir Edward Lutyens New Delhi comprising visit to India Gate, President House, Parliament House etc.

DAY-13: Delhi - Departure
We will utilize the day by visiting great monuments of Delhi like World Heritage Sites of Red fort, Humayun Tomb, Qutab Minar. We will also visit India Gate, Akshardham temple, Isckon Temple, Lotus Temple. We may also take this day as in reserve to tackle unseen problems like train delay, flight delays, ill-ness etc. During winters trains & flights often get delayed by 5-10 hrs or even cancelled, so as to tackle such unforeseen challenges, we will retain one day in our hand to avoid any inconvenience. Later, after having dinner, we will drive to Delhi Airport to board flight for home town or next destination.
